History Established in 1945. For three decades, movie nights at the old Strand Theater at 38 N. I always enjoy going to The Strand for movies and/or food~
Will never go back! The movie was supposed to start at 7. It was 8 before the previews started. Then they cut the movie off before the end and refused to let us finish it because we "only missed a little on the end". Plus they charge the same price as big theaters with a tiny screen in what seems to be a basement. I was also harassed by another man there and told the manager who did nothing. Didn't even ask the man to leave me alone.

I went tonight to see Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie started an hour after it was supposed to. They cut off the movie before it ended which is sad because my girls were looking forward to the final scenes. As we were leaving I also saw a young lady being bullied by a large man by the door when she complained about the movie being cut off early. She asked the manager for help and he did nothing. Do NOT, under any circumstances waste your money at The Strand at 38 Main. They cut off the movie early. It started an hour late. We were harassed and the manager did nothing to help. Not going back. I even contacted them to let them know about the issues and they asked that I call and talk to them. However, I have tried several times and left multiple messages with no response, so they obviously don't care that much.

Wonderful little theatre with varied entertainment.
I love The Strand! It's so nice to have a movie theater so close to home showing new movies. You can't beat the price either! Not to mention they have the best popcorn!!
