Vampires beware! Garlic is abundant in everything on the menu here. Situated on Beverly Hills' Restaurant Row, this kitschy spot serves mostly Italian or as they call it, Cal-Italian. Call it what you want, but it's the garlic that you'll taste and remember. While the food is decent, it's the garlic gimmick that most people come for. The menu features a variety of pastas, chicken, meat, fish and even ice cream, all flavored with the little white bulb. This is a fun place for family and friends. If classy and refined is what ... read more

don't waste your time – unless you've got a gang of vampires after you, you wouldn't need this much garlic in your LIFETIME. the place looks like a barn, and by the time you've walked out you've got garlic coming out of your ears. the garlic bread they give you in the beginning is actually the best part. after that you've got so much of it that it becomes overkill. and the place isn't cheap for the quality of food they're serving.
fun and interesting – I went here with my family for my birthday. It was fun. The food was great. They have some interesting ways to eat garlic, like GARLIC ICE CREAM. But we really enjoyed our meal and it wasnt too expensive.
The tast hardly makes up for the tackiness – I find it very difficult to take a restaurant seriously when they model themselves after the Spaghetti Factory. The food was good, but not great and there was nothing notable about the service. They do have nice isolated booths, which is unfortunate that you should need them to get away from the eyesore that is the rest of the restaurant. If you're going to decorate like Red Robin, then at least give Red Robin prices.
Garlic- but with no taste – The garlic gimmick should be about the food being amazing and really showing off the garlic- it isn't. My experience: -The ambiance was romantic -The food was disappointing. The spreadable garlic was great, but everything else falls far short. The Tiger prawns were so tough I had to saw at them to cut them into bite size pieces. The bartender couldn't even mix the correct drinks (asked for a cosmo and got a rob roy???) -The service was not slow, but noone had any personality. The hostess barely gl... read more
Excellent! (YOU MUST LOVE GARLIC!) – If you are going to make any decisions about going to this fine restaurant, please don't pay attention to the above reviews that were written by people that weren't expecting garlic to be on everything despite the obvious references. Anyway, if you LOVE garlic, this is the place to go. I've never been disappointed with anything on the menu and have to try this place at least every month to get my garlic fill. Food WILL be SATURATED with garlic so don't come expecting food just to taste of... read more
Original name, average everything. – My boyfriend and I love trying new places, so we decided to try this one. Overall, the setting is nice and cozy, the service was good. The food, however, was average to say the least. I ordered vegiterian lasagna that was served being barely warm. If not the bread they serve with every meal, I would probably starve. We were curious about the "garlic ice cream" and actually order a scoop to try. It tasked like a cold garlic flavored bagel-avoid at all means-it doesn't only soud discusting,... read more
mmm....garlic – If you like garlic, you'll love the Stinking Rose. They have garlic in everything, including ice cream. Some meals are doused in garlic, while others are lightly flavored. The filet mignon is one of the best is town! The chef really knows what he's doing. With a wide variety of choices, everyone can find something they like.
Rest. Mgr. about town – This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in all of L.A. The service is the best I have ever experienced. They use handheld's, so dont be amazed that your drink, dessert, or bill come IMMEDIATLY. The pork ribs were simply amazing, very much like carnitas left on the bone. If your on a diet watch out!!! MUST get the Appetizer bread with the crushed garlic/ olive oil, bring your breathmints.... Very relaxed and unpretentious for Beverly Hills. Very unique atmosphere, colorful tents cover tables, ve... read more
Not so stinking – Our waiter was wonderful and was very helpful on our selection of wine. I recommend the vegetarian lasagna even though i'm not a vegetarian. it was VERY good. Prepare to smell like garlic for the next few days however.
