A great historical tour! Learning about the origins of the hotel was fascinating. Then leaening how it became an inspiration to Steven King was quite interesting.
Bar sucked Everyone was new or mildly retarded. Everything else was cool
I took the history tour. ANDY IS THE BEST TOUR GUIDE TO EVER EXIST! So funny, so personable, so knowledgeable. Such an awesome experience.

Our Tour guide was Lillian, and she was awesome! Loved her extra touches. We didn’t stay the night, but the tour was awesome.
We flew here all the way from Iowa to stay in the Stanley Hotel. We called on Sunday October 29th and confirmed our room reservation for tonight. We drove two hours from Colorado Springs only to be told that our room would be in the Aspire and not in the Stanley Hotel. When making reservations they do not inform you that the Stanley Hotel consists of multiple hotels on the same property. Very misleading and disappointing, I do not recommend staying here.
The haunted tour was fun, the Restaurant was really nice and our waiter was amazing. The lobby alone was worth the trip with 2 large stone fireplaces with overstuffed chairs and a Stanley Steamer parked inside! Our room was clean and beautiful with a waterfall right outside our window. The only drawback was no AC in the room but they sent a maintenance man to shut off the heaters and brought us a fan!! Great staff and they are in the process of making more improvements to bring the Stanley back to it's former glory.
