As an overseas visitor I have been to the standard many times over the last 20 years and loved it. It’s been four years since my last visit & we went there tonight expecting the same cool vibe... instead we were greeted by the pungent smell of overpowering marijuana & a deadbeat crowd. Such a shame!
It’s a (barely) renovated older hotel that’s basically a poor knock off a W. Front desk person had zero personality and then suddenly did- and it was all nasty attitude. The valet /bus buy was supper sweet. That’s about all I can say, that’s positive.
They treated me like a star. More than I expected.
Didn’t feel welcome or like I was meant to be there from the 1st moment I entered. Don’t expect anything amazing from the front desk staff. Room, food and cocktails were insane but just a real shame about the service. Try better next time with your guests guys!! For your own sake � otherwise this place will be empty very soon.
