Had a business meeting and a couple of drinks at The Rooftop Bar at the Standard. Lovely setting with a helpful staff and attentive bartender. good selection of drinks comfortable seating nestled in between the buildings of DTLA. Going back soon!
The staff impressed me, each employee was there to help and did. The platform beds re not for the elderly. The food was rally good �

Except for the crabby and waaaaaay too serious night manager, everything was wonderful. We would definitely recommend The Standard!
This place totally Sucked!
Hotel is beautiful, view is great. Room is just average. No plugs near the bed and the bathroom, while brand new, appears dated. Front desk staff is awesome. But the restaurant staff was just ok. Got late night room service, food was average at best. Linens are really nice. You are definitely paying for the name and the lobby... l probably wouldn't go back.
Staying at the Standard was one of the worst experiences of my life. Our sink was clogged, we called 2 times to get it fixed but they never fixed it so we spent the weekend with a useless clogged sink full of toothpaste and spit. Then when we left on Sunday they had 1 person so the Valet took exactly 26 minutes to get my car. When they got my car they gave it back to me with a HUGE scratch down the side of it and never said anything to me about the damage.
