Best experience I've had living in college so far! My last place was sketch so this was a definite upgrade.
If you want to live in a place that is covered in dog crap, never fixes your problems, lies to you and tries to year by year sneak things in your contract this is your place. Electricity overages are crazy. On top of that on the phone they'll yell at you and then tell you l that you need to watch your tone and hang up on you. And that was their manager not just an office employee. NEVER LIVE HERE! Never been so unsatisfied with a place in my life!
DO NOT LIVE HERE. "You'll never go over your electricity cap." - Student manager at the spectrum. We went over every single month, including a month where me and my roommate were in Colorado for 3 weeks. Horrible management, ran by college students who honestly don't know what they're going. And yes you'll get your gift card, it just might be 5 months after you live there even though they promise you it in September. I have lived in 6 different apartments in the last 4 years, and the Spectrum was the worst I have ever experienced. Although I have no complaints about the physical apartment, the management was the worst. After submitting not 1, not 2, not 3, but 5 maintenance requests, the issues remained unresolved even after talking to them on the phone. They towed my car for being in the empty parking lot for 45 mins in the middle of the day on a Thursday and I had to pay $120 for the tow. They overcharged my rent not 1 time, not 2 time... read more
I cannot believe that I actually tolerated living here for almost an entire year! The management is the WORST thing about this place. Every time you walk into the office the staff looks like they are usually just playing around and they generally have no idea what they are talking about (aka why they were always looking to hire new people). When we moved in, they did not even have our apartment that they had originally assigned us ready. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to live in The Spectrum. Horrible and unreasonable management, dirty property, and overpriced apartments. I moved out after six months and was charged $25 for leaving hangers and a Glade wall plug-in in the unit. ( I was just trying to help the next resident not deal with the stench of trash that constantly filled the unit). I hope that $25 goes into management training, gym wipes, and landscapers. Couldn't be happier to be out.

As a tenant of these apartments for six years I can say that the change in management (from The Crowne to The Spectrum) is the reason why I will no longer be staying here. While the management has improved slightly since changing from The Crowne, maintenance continues to be a large problem. When I first changed units in June 2014 my new unit had clearly not been checked between tenants -\-\ mold was growing on the inside of the refrigerator, my washer leaked under the floors which meant they had to tear up and replace the fl... read more
