RecommendedDenzel is great! He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to ensure things are done correctly. He always goes out of his way to help whenever we may have an issue.
Denzel is the best!!! He’s always available to help me out when something isn’t working and makes an effort to keep our cats from running outside :) super respectful and goes above and beyond for what we need!
It’s a great place to live. Fairly clean and kind staff. I love all the maintenance guys. Paul, Denzel, Ricky And Jimmy are the bomb and have always been super kind to my dogs and I! They are all always eager to help! The manager of the maintenance crew though has always come off as rude and bothered by a request.
Do not honor leases to their completion.
There are not enough words to express how AMAZING Retreat is! Lauren and the team are phenomenal! The community is such so perfect! 2 resident clubhouses, 2 fitness centers, a dog park, a community garden (yes! A community garden) and THREE pools!!! What more could you ask for with all those amenities?? Oh!!! I forgot about the SPACE!!! You get soooo much space, the apartments are absolutely gorgeous floorplans! The finishes are a true gem! Go check them out and fall in love with your home, like I did!
I’ve spent only 1 year at The Retreat at Mountain Brook, but during my time there, it was nothing short of being one of the best, if not the best, apartment complexes I’ve stayed at because of the great staff working there. Lauren helped make our stay problem-free, safe, and overall delightful. If there was a maintenance issue, which was very rare, they were efficient and professional. If you’re looking for a safe environment at an affordable price, I highly recommend The Retreat!

The Retreat is truly a great place to live! The apartments are newly renovated and very spacious. The pools and workout facilities are fantastic, not to mention the precious dog park - such a pet-friendly place! The grounds are very-well kept and there are 24-hour guards at each gate. The office staff is extremely accommodating, and the maintenance team works timely and efficiently. The location is peaceful and only minutes away from Mtn. Brook villages, Samford, downtown and UAB.
We’ve lived at the retreat for about a year now, and we just renewed for another year! We absolutely love love love where we live and the people we live around! The apartment is huge for the rent we pay and the location is amazing and convenient. The staff if always super helpful, especially Dylan! He responds extremely quick to our questions and always takes time out of his day to talk with us (we love him)! I highly recommend y’all go tour and check out all the apartments they have to offer!:)
We love the Retreat! The dog park on site is so convenient and nice, and there are always lots of people and pups to meet. The units are extremely spacious and nice, and we even have a small back yard which was a game changer. The front office is always willing to help with whatever things you may need and there is 24 hour maintenance for emergencies. It’s truly a great place to live.
