I was referred to the Ophthalmology team after my dog Mavis was not responding to her dry eye medication. We saw Tyler one of the interns who is very knowledgeable and is clearly very passionate about Ophthalmology. The next steps were explained clearly and we left feeling very positive that Mavis is in the best possible hands. The next day I realised I had forgot to ask a question, so I emailed the team and received a very quick response even though I know how busy they are.

Heidi Featherstone, who leads Ophthalmology, has been treating my dog for 2.5 years now. She took over from a terrible experience with another practice when I desperately needed to save my dog's one remaining eye. Heidi could not have done more to restore my faith in the veterinary profession. Deeply compassionate towards me and my dogs (my other one always comes to appointments) and obviously at the forefront of knowledge on her subject. The vets always say something the clients want to hear but it never reflects the reality of the situation, which shows a lack of professionalism. If you want the best for your pet, you should consult another referral centre.
My husband and I are so thankful for everything that The Ralph did to try and save our dog. They kept us informed, was as positive as they could be and treated her with so much respect when we came to the end of the road. She was so young and it was so hard on us but they gave us the time that we need and listened to us. It unfortunatly ended with us needing to let her go, but they tried so hard to save her little life and we can't thank you enough for your best efforts.
