For more than 30 years, this downtown restaurant has been Baltimore's benchmark for upscale steakhouses. The signature dish shows why. The Prime Rib Steak is a tender 24-ounce behemoth, a full three inches thick. The rest of the offerings, including several fine seafood dishes, are just as good, if not as weighty. It's hard to believe, but the decor - black walls, gold curtains and leopard-print carpet - is somehow just right. Side dishes are a la carte, and the wine list is great.

Overpriced, overhyped UGH! – The food was EXCELLENT. However, the seating is absolutely, positively the most atrocious I've ever experienced anywhere. Every single solitary time a waiter or waitress walked past our table, they inevitably bumped up against my back. Not a problem if you're in line at McDonalds, but DEFINITELY a MAJOR problem if you're in such a highly praised dining establishment. THE BEST – the best in the city, it is a little noisy but the service and food make up for it. You always have to wait even with a reservation, this is the only down to the place
Will Never Go Again! – We went to the Prime Rib for a special occasion and were neglected miserably. We received no bread (though the obviously more wealthy patrons did) and had to beg for service. We got one drink, that's it, no offers for more. It was so crowded, the waiter's coattails were nearly in our food. My fish was dried out and tasteless.
