But The Pit is more than a generic barbecue restaurant: it combines the generous portions of classic meat-loving joints with some surprises. Excellent food and great service!
We ate there today with our 3 year old. He is not always the easiest to please. The staff was so accommodating and helped everyone have an enjoyable experience. They spoke to him like they genuinely valued his opinion and even had a stamp for his hand. He was so happy! Oh, and the food was amazing!! (We all recommend the Mac and cheese)

Meh. Brisket was ok but it tasted more like pot roast. Fried okra was not crispy. If I had to guess it was microwaved. None of the food was hot, not cold, but luke warm.

My father and brother came down to North Carolina from Rochester New York and I took them to the pit once again the pit did not let me down the food was great the service was great and the cost was noticeably low they were impressed
