Located off the lobby of the Seelbach, this bar offers over forty bourbons, expertly mixed cocktails, and heavenly desserts like the Warm Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie. The Seelbach is known for its artfully restored, early 1900s decor, and this elegant watering hole was not passed over. The bar itself is a fine piece of mahogany, and it's as inviting a bar as ever there was. The bar is staffed by a crew not only expert at drink mixing, but also at spinning yarns about the hotel, the neighborhood, and the great state of Kentuc... read more

One of the places in Louisville I had been wanting to stay. Very disappointed. Sheets had to be changed due to sticky stains when we checked in. Room smelled like dirty feet. Wallpaper coming off wall in bathroom. I believe some staff are having a bad day. I was expecting much more for the price we paid for the room!
Overpriced !!! You pay for the view of the famous lobby ,everything else is not worth. For the price of $190 you would expect a mini bar ,free parking (paid $27+tip) ,complimentary breakfast ( paid $20+tip). First and last time !
The staff and service here were outstanding! The atmosphere could not have been better. There is so much history here and so very much to see just inside the Seelbach alone you could easily spend a day looking and learning.
We loved the ambiance and decor. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated . Bathrooms were small but very functional. Sunday brunch was amazing and the service was great. They really catered to our children. Our go-to hotel next time we are in town.
I do not recommend going to the Oak Room for mother's day brunch. The sites is ok but the service is horrible. When my mom and I first started going here a few years ago it was great! Totally worth the price. However service has gone way down hill. I don't mind paying $60 a plate but that better mean I have good service.
Celebrated our 30 year anniversary at the Oak room in honor of having our wedding reception in The Seelbach's grand ballroom. The updates look fabulous, the food & service was amazing and first class as expected with our table adorned in rose petals. And "cheers" for the wonderful "Manhattans"!!!! This is a must stop classic hotel in it's finest glory.
Sure it has history but the quality of the room is nothing special. You'd think they have decent toilet paper for what you pay... Wallpaper was coming up... You don't always get what you pay for
The staff at the Seelbach Hotel is wonderful, they greet everyone with a smile,
Beautiful, catering is lovely. Nice staff. Attended a wedding.
