I had really delicious blue crab on English muffins for lunch. Delicious! I tasted another's catfish and it was very good with the dill tartar sauce. I like the indoor/outdoor atmosphere near the market.

Nice place to eat with opened windows so you can feel the breeze. Food is good but my green fried tomatoes were a little bit to thick, wish they could slide it thinner. Overall was good.
The food is amazing, the service is amazing. . .I am super happy with The Noisy Oyster. I am hoping to come back to this amazing restaurant another time before I leave.
Our service was great and the food was delivered fast and it was delicious! Loved this restaurant and if I'm ever back in Charleston I'll eat here again!
So, I have read all of the reviews on "unpleasant" waiters/waitresses, and wondered... "why would they say that?!". Everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the nice on the eye waiter (Gabriel). Food expensive and tasty, just how I like it.
So the food was good but the service was horrible, the food came out and portions were not equal (two people at the table got the same thing), we had to beg other servers for drink refills and condiments, They had run out of certain foods on the menu (she offered no back up selections or they did their own substitution on some of the entrées), once our server brought us our food it looked like it had just been dropped on a plate and she never came back to check on us. We arrived shortly after 1pm to a restaurant that was not busy for a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress was sweet, but new, and had no support. I received the wrong appetizer and my tea was empty for at least 15 minutes. My husband's scampi was devoid of garlic and his fries were limp. Service and food should have been much better, especially when they weren't busy. We won't go back.
I live in Charleston and my family comes up from Florida 3 or 4 times a year. We always have to visit downtown Charleston and eat at your restaurant. But the last 2 times we have visited we were very disappointed. The prices for lunch have changed and gone sky high. (We always went for their shrimp lunch special) It seems the lunch menu has been wiped out and just dinner platters are available. We will not be going back when my family comes up. There are a lot of other places to eat in Charleston that are better. Very sorry ... read more
