Excellent centre for breast care. Saw a consultant, had a mammogram and an ultrasound all in the space of an hour. No one should slag the NHS unless obviously human error has caused misdiagnosis, death or life changing disabilities thats different. However, in this case I can't fault anything at this centre in wythenshawe hospital. All the nurses and consultants were lovely and put you at ease. Stuff didn't get picked up... I had strong, unknown pain in my breasts/chest. I also felt lumps. I decided to cancel all my travel plans and come back to the UK to get help asap. Got seen fairly quickly, the first lady told me to take paracetamol and get a bra fitted at 'john lewis'. My breast size is B, C at best so their weight is not the source of the problem here. "I cannot speak highly enough of Marie, a nurse at the Nightingale Centre. Her kindness and support were truly exceptional. During my time there, she consistently went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and well cared for. Her friendly demeanor created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. Marie's compassion and dedication are a credit to the Nightingale Centre, and I am incredibly grateful for her care."
I've recently had a mammogram, ultrasound, biopsies, and test results at the nightingale and just wanted to say how wonderful the ladies were who treated me.
