Excellent English Pub food with nice beer selection. They also have cider and other things from England including dry tea and candy.
Decided to stop in on a whim and found my new favorite place in Ames. The food was delicious and the atmosphere truly reminded me of pubs I've visited in London and York with the exception that the food was much better at the Mucky Duck. Hate writing a glowing comment as I don't want the place to get too popular. 5 stars
Have had fish'n'chips many times...delicious. Definitely will be going again...
That Bangers and Mash with a Firetrucker brew was a perfect Friday lunch.
Awesome food and atmosphere talked the owner and how he got here and started this great pub. He was super friendly! Great place to get real British food!

We were walking with our toddler and decided to grab food. The staff were great and friendly and it felt like our 18 month old was welcome while we waited for the order. The food was great and toddler approved too. :)
I have had fish and chips many places throughout the world, including London...best of all of them...right here in Ames!!! Treat yourself!!
