we arrived July 8th the hotel room was nasty not clean telephone did not work light bulbs missing out of the sockets the wastebasket was so nasty I put it out in the hallway the front desk could not get me any light bulbs because they said I had to wait for the maintenance man and he wasn't there and they couldn't get them the place looks like it's in the middle of the ghetto I've stayed in some run-down motels and they were 10 times cleaner
pee on the bathroom wall and room was sketchy looking

This is basically a homeless shelter! Do not stay here!!!
We booked 3 nights. arrived Monday 330 and told we couldn't check in til 4. ok. came back at 4 and lobby was packed. no social distancing. check in took ages. After someone checked in they came right back to complain about the room. After an hour of waiting we saw a guest come back and get angry with one of the 2 desk staff. the customer was not yelling. Absolutely disgusting!!! Overwhelming smell of marijuana and cigarettes and it’s suppose to be no smoking! The rooms were so nasty food or god knows what on the walls! The ceiling in the bathroom looks ready to cave in and the toilet itself looks like it hasn’t been cleaned. The shower 🤢 had hair in it !! Never ever go there we walked in and got a refund 5 mins being there
Refused to let us check in because we live in Galveston County. Nothing on site where we booked mentioned this, Super8’s customer service dept wasn’t even aware the Galveston location had this policy. We don’t live in Galveston County but clerk was rude and I was in no mood to prove where I live to stay at a cheap hotel!
RecommendedQuite area on the edge of Independence. Hotel is clean and well taking care of.
Want a dump. Huge bait and switch. Don’t stay at this place. No beach. Guest safety is not a concern. Rooms are horrible. Bed bugs. Locks don’t work. Called maintenance to fix doors. They couldn’t believe the room was rented out.
Our room was dirty!!! Dirty floors, dirty mirrors, dirty tables, dirty shower, dirty toilet, dirty microwave, dirty fridge, dirty beds with cigarette burns ( in a non smoking). There was only one towel in our room.The front desk staff are rude and not helpful at all. In order to park your car you have to cross the street and go into the smallest parking lot ever.
