Staff is super rude and doesn't know what they are doing. Was told I could wait a couple weeks to move out to my next apartment but then was called during work that I had to move out at that very day so had leave work to move out. Room I moved into had cat remnants and had to get it cleaned myself even though cats and dogs weren't allowed in that apartment. The only reason I chose to live there was because it was furnished. Otherwise it's basically a trap of a lease.
They don’t offer a way to get out of a lease? And receive no help trying to find someone to sublease? That’s the most stupidest thing I’ve heard. I’m okay with the $350 penalty fee but if not finding someone I have to pay $1000 even if I’m not living there. Life events happen and things don’t always go as planned. Would be nice if they gave me more options to help me find a sublease ATLEAST.
The only staff worthwhile here is the maintenance and security guys. I've had several conversations with both and they've been extremely nice. Sue and Bria however completely tarnish the image of the Marshall and Greystar alike. Failing to be FHA/ADA compliant, harassing residents, threatening residents etc. Live literally anywhere but here. I will be speaking with Ally Husnagle in the morning about everything as well from the cooperate side.
For the most part, the staff is extremely friendly except for some individuals that may definitely stain that image overall. I recommend doing a staff review for each individual so some can receive disciplinary actions. Water system needs a lot more improvement as well as internet. Water will go out without notice and same goes for the internet at the most inconvenient time.
The rent is extremely expensive but everything was made very cheap. The walls are extremely thing- not just within our apartment but going outside as well. Maintenance takes weeks, I submitted a request 3 weeks ago and have called the front desk twice and it has still not been complete (flip side- when our washer broke someone was here right away which was nice). RecommendedThe Marshall is a wonderful place to live! The staff is so friendly, the amenities are superb and the location cannot be beat. If you are looking for a spacious, modern and fun place to live, the Marshall Apartments is the place to be!
My favorite thing about The Marshall is how the furnishings and appliances are of excellent quality.
I LOVE living at the Marshall! The staff is great and really helpful whenever I have a question or need to put in a maintenance request! I also really enjoy all of the amenities that the Marshall offers for its residents. Not to mention, the location is awesome and is right in the heart of Dinkytown! Thanks for all the great memories Marsh!
The apartments and facilities here are nice for the most part, but when we moved in, there were lots of scuffs and scratches on our walls that were never fixed, and the parts that they did try to paint over, you can clearly tell because the paint is a slightly different shade. The walls are also very, very thin, so beware.
