I am 39 years old and I got LASIK done in November of 2023. I do wish I got LASIK years ago. I was nearsighted with -5.50 contacts.I went in on a Thursday at 4:00, my husband drove me home. Friday Morning at 8am I went back in for a checkup and everything was great. I could have gone to work if needed, but I took the day off. My surgery is good but my financing dint go as plan they charge me interest when they said they wont charge me any if i pay in one year plus charge me alot of late fee even for one day late.
I went and got LASIKs a year ago. I have what’s called corneal neuralgia. I live in pain everyday. Have to go all the way to Philly to see a specialist who deals with this condition. I went back to the lasik place sooo many times and was told it’s just “dry eye”. I now have to pay for serum drops on a Ton of meds. No prev issues before this sx. Went through all the tests and was told I was a good candidate. Please don’t do it !!!!!
Please do your research, have all the test necessary before you have surgery l. One year after lasik and my vision has regressed. I am back at wearing glasses and contact lenses. On top of that Lasik left permanent scar on my left eye. If I knew I was going to be using glasses again plus the scar in my eye, I would have not done it.
