The Crossroads Arts District is filled with exceptional restaurants and The Jacobson is just another addition to this lively area. The bar/restaurant features American comfort food fused with some new twists, for example, the house burger is topped with a short-rib marmalade, bone marrow butter and crispy onion straws. Moreover, the spot is open for lunch and dinner and also has a wonderful bar that serves hand-crafted cocktails. Check website for complete menu and specials, like their 'Mingle Hour' which runs from 3-6pm and... read more

The service was just ok. Our server couldnt really give much in terms of suggestions and our appetizer order never got put in (we werent billed for it at least). Both of us got KC strip steaks (medium and medium rare), mine was more medium well than medium. Drinks were alright. Dutch baby cake was just ok, the waffle a la mode was divine. I'm not picky enough to send close orders back, but if I were I'd probably rate lower.
I moved to Kansas City at the end of July and The Jacobson soared to my favorite restaurant ever. I have been 8 times in less than 3 months and every visit has been nothing short of fantastic. I have yet to order or try anything I did not like. Not only is their food amazing but so is their staff. I think the food is fabulous our waitress was great love the pricing and love the atmosphere
Atmosphere was unique, food was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. Our waitress, Kara, was great. We will definitely be going back!
This was a very sheek establishment with great service and amazing food. I highly recommend this place for a casual lunch/brunch or date night. We will definitely come again and if you can pick a sever...ask for Jasmine.
My 12-year old son is a bit of a foodie. He wanted to frequent your restaurant for his 12th birthday. It was a great experience for him, which is good enough for me. The waitress was so good to him. I cannot recall her name, but she is pregnant. She was very caring and accommodating. My son dressed in his suit coat and tie. Was an absolutely unforgettable night for him. Thank you so much.
The ambience was classy but relaxing. The staff is amazing. They were attentive to the right degree, funny but respectful with style. The food was so delicious, the portions more than enough and dessert was just off the charts. Highly recommendable and I would definitely go again.
This was a great dining experience! Our waiter was the best and the food was amazing! We will definitely come back!
We had a hair in our crab dip, a bug in our Mojito and still was charged $100 for our fare. Can't say we had the best time, the customer service was ok.
