Small little venue that's in a church building. While that may sound off-putting, it more than makes up for it. Sound is great and the lineups are stellar. Alcohol is sold: cans, tap (craft beers) and wine. Shows start early and end by 12am, so you can still go out and enjoy your night.
So people has anyone ever seen a show at the irenic here in north park? Cuz saturday the 25th the irenic cancelled the beatrock show the day of and the head dick in charge said its cuz those hip hoppers do marijuana n trouble bla bla corny racist talk, luckily the show went on in barrio logan and they were not stopped n i got the show i was lookin fwd to, just so u know thats how irenic operates, thats fucked up to cancel a show the day of tryin to sabotage shit, fuk that shit....
I love live music and checking out new venues. Was looking forward to checking out this venue for the Bambu/Rocky Rivera Left Coast Tour concert but since the GM carries an ignorant mentality as well as wrongly stereotypes hip hop and forced concert to change venues at last second, I don't ever plan on attending a show here. It's 2015, wake up!
