1- it closes too soon. Therefore the sets are too short and not worth the money. 2- you can't step out to get fresh air. The courtyard is filled with cigarette smokers. 3- remove the extra price of stage in the front that concert goers stand on. People in the back can't see the band because those in the front are raised up. That kind of raise should be in the back. Either keep it flat or creat a downward slope towards the artist stage. The current set up isn't smart.

I've been to many events here, both as an attendee and as vendor. Best venue in the area whether it's for a crowd of 250 people or a small meeting room.

I think they could have offered concessions, at least a drinking fountain. With NO RE-ENTRY, I had to quench my thirst using the restroom sink...lame. I also think they could of done more promotion. Can I recommend SD CITY BEAT or the SD READER. However, I would like to mention that the staff was very accommodating considering. I believe THE IRENIC is a diamond in the rough. It has potential to be a decent venue for smaller, more intimate concerts.

Business response:

What date did you attend our venue?

The Irenic staff was fabulous, taking care of everything with the upmost efficiency. The venue is amazing because of its intimate design. They host concerts on the weekends. The sound was great last night. I didn't have a problem with the quality of the sound that many people on here have mentioned. There isn't any parking though. We had to park 3-4 blocks away, but it was no big deal. I highly recommend you see a concert here! You will love it!
