The Irenic is a charming venue for live performances and events. Built and renovated inside the Missiongathering Christian Church, there are two venues inside the Irenic. Both the facilities are equipped with modern sound and light systems. Artists like Cody Simpson, David Bazaan and Julien Baker have performed at the venue. Being in a church, the acoustics are great. Being small, the level of intimacy is high. Most of the shows I've been to the chatter level has been low. The "bar" is pretty primitive, but that is not a major issue for me. The people working at the bar might consider not emptying the trash (bottles clanging) while an artist is on stage.
Go early to get parking, dinner and a beer nearby.
I saw Wolf Alice here. I liked it, but they could get a louder sound system in my opinion. It's a bit unconventional of a venue, but i like that it is intimate and a great way to see up and coming bands play shows before they move to arenas .
The Irenic has a 4.2 star rating with 305 reviews.
The Irenic is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
