First and foremost, you have to understand that this venue is a church. With that being said, it's a great venue for what it is. My husband and I had a wonderful night there. Sure, it didn't sound like some other venues. Sounds a little boxy... But I can dig. Had a great time nonetheless And the staff that evening were super nice and helpful with our random questions. The sound was terrible. It sounded like they put a pillow over the lead vocal mic. No presence in the vocals at all and completely unbalanced sound everywhere in the room. The Joy Formidable has sounded awesome at other venues in town...not tonight...even though they played their hearts out. Too bad. Hopefully they fix the terrible sound.
I mean.... I got to shot gun 4$ PBR in a church and listen to good music. Could've been worse.
