AVOID - SCAM. Put in all of my usual card details to pay for a £20 clock, before my details disappeared and I was suddenly told ‘this payment type cannot be processed, please pay via PayPal’. Left their website, thinking that was an unusual request. 5 days later, £450 had left my account using TransferGo.com, who were very unhelpful in resolving the issue. Luckily, my bank refunded the amount. Have reported.
If you have a problem they just ignore you - bought a measuring jug from them at the end of November and within 30 days it melted in the microwave. Manufacturer told me that within that time frame the retailer was responsible for replacement etc. Despite 8 attempts to contact them - 4 emails and 4 phone calls (all of which went to ansaphone) I got No response at all from The Homewares Company - total garbage - customer service non-existent. This is a scam company. I've never encountered anything like this. They take your money then totally ignore your emails asking where the product is. I haven't even had a refund. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Product never arrived and company have never got back to me. Appalling. One star is too much for nothing.
