As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Business response:
We're so pleased you enjoyed a lovely date night at The Fort and that you were able to try some of our favorite menu items. We hope you come back soon!
Went there for the first time today for our wedding anniversary. The customer service was 5 star. The food I rate a 2 star. We had the Bison Prime Rib. It was 50% fat and we ordered both medium rare. They both came out raw....... We sent them back and the brought them out this time rare. When you pay this kind of money when you eat out, you expect the cooks know how to actually cook. BIG LET DOWN. We will not be going back here again. Dame shame. Next time we want a good steak and want it cooked properly we will go to Texas ... read more

Hi, Bill: We're disappointed to learn of your recent dining experience at The Fort, and apologize that your meal was anything less than the standards of perfection which we hold ourselves - and our food - accountable to. We do hope you'll give us another chance, so we may provide you with the memorable meal for which we are best known.
Took my sister and brother in law there for dinner and it was sheer perfection. Everything we ordered was delicious, the service was impeccable and the view was amazing. The hostess who sat us, the waiter who served us, the man who played the Indian instrument and the manager all went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and taken care of. You have gained three loyal customers!
Great food, atmosphere and service. I recommend a visit!
