I began a refi of a second home with Timothy ***** of The Federal Savings Bank in September of 2020. I was given a rate of 2.5% on $380,000. All of the usual information for a refi was requesting and supplied within 24 hours. Again as usual, more requests for info was requested and supplied. They requested I pay $494 for the appraisal. My husband is a retired veteran. We applied for a VA streamline refinance. Communication at 1st was good... then after they suck you in communication is horrible. They promised 3 week closing. Started out in the beginning of February and April 8 received final paperwork. They decreased our loan amount and wanted us to pay out of pocket. Called the VP to complain and his message was I'll get back to you within 24 hours. No response. We finally said no... no way I'm closing this deal. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
