I've seen several orthopedic MD's in my powerlifting career who just prescribe " 6 weeks of rest and caution" for any minor injury I might come up with. As an athlete with scoliosis and structural abnormalities, it's easy for me to find myself with some kind of pain. I'm so glad to have found Dr. Sloan--now instead of resting and hoping for the best, we find the root of the problem and correct it quickly so I can get back to lifting heavy stuff and spotting my gymnastics team.

I saw Dr. Sloan for golfers elbow. This was my first time at a chiropractor so I was not sure what to expect. I was so discouraged by this injury but she was so positive, she gave me the tools I needed to heal and prevent re injury. I have recommended the FARM to all of my friends. One thing I really appreciate is that the appointments are long enough so I do not feel rushed or like just another patient.

I think the easy answer these days for any doctor or PT is to stop what you're doing and until you get better. The one thing about Beau and Sloan is they understand that is basically the worst thing to do. The exercises to help both my knee and shoulder issues, not only worked to reduce the pain, but helped my over mobility. I workout several times per week, and the last thing I want to hear a doctor say is stop. Honestly if Beau (or Sloan) said to STOP I would because I trust their judgement that much. I'm now focused on mo... read more

I am a college athlete and Dr. Beau worked miracles for my back. I had attended multiple different physical therapists and nothing seemed to be working for my back. After a few sessions with Dr. Beau I noticed improvement. I had very tight hips and all of my tight muscles were putting stress on my back and inflaming the area around my spinal chord. He used stretching techniques and exercises that no one else had done with me and I continue to do many of those stretches to this day in order to continue to be pain free.

Business response:

Thank you Erin, hope all is well!

Knowledgeable and kind. They explain what causes the pain, how injuries occur, and how to improve performance. They do it all in a non-intimidating or condescending way. They are awesome!

Beau not only helped me feel better and fixed things that have been bothering me, he has helped my workouts tremendously. He explained why I do what I do and gave me excercises to fix my problems. The sports physiology part of the practice is a huge asset!

Both my son and I were helped greatly by Dr. Sloan! She helped me strengthen my back after a longterm back injury and she got my 13 year old son back on the basketball court by helping him learn how to properly care for his sore knee. She took time to listen to how we were doing at each visit and always explained the mechanics behind why our bodies were feeling the way that they were. We are so thankful for her and the staff at the farm and will not hesitate to return if we need them!

I struggled with IT band issues all through high school and college running. Beau was the first person to tell me not to stop running but to run and do exercises at the same time. Both Sloan and Beau are super personal and want to keep you going while also healing you permanently. They prescribe you at home exercises so that you can continue to keep your body moving smoothly and properly even after you're well. They are also both amazing athletes themselves, so they know the emotions of getting injured and how important it i... read more
