my first year of rent was good, when i went to renew the contract for another larger apartment, the apartment was not ready the day of the move. the neighbors on the top floor didn’t stop messing around and we complained several times and no one from “the district” did anything. we had to change apartments and when we went to change the apartment we were going to change it was not clean it had dog hair and a lot of crap from the last guests the crumpled appliances and unable to use ... unfortunately only complicated experien... read more

They call it “the district” but you might as well call it “the projects” because those are the living conditions you will have to endure while paying “world-class living” prices. When their website said “world-class”, they must have been referring to living in a 3rd world country. I could go on and on about the list of issues we have had with our unit (dishwasher, fridge, microwave laundry problems, plumbing issues, roof leaks, maintenance leaving open holes in the wall for days, pest issues) but the key take way would be: b... read more

Place has gone down hill. I've had the same roof leak for 3 years now....you ask: but why did you not move out? I'm glad you asked. They do minimal repairs by looking for the cheapest vendor/subcontractor. They do a mickey mouse repair, I renew my lease, and everything starts leaking again. However, this year the unattended leaks have gotten significantly worst. Oh btw, I also have to manage them through the whole process. Once they fix the roof, I wait for them to fix the wall, and when they don't I have to call and get tha... read more

The fire alarm in building A goes off at least twice a month, often times at late hours or early in the morning. It's broken. The fire department begrudgingly shows up and turns it off. Maybe a dozen residents still bother to evacuate. Most people wait it out on their patio. People's dogs howl in pain from the screeching noise. The property management knows that this is a problem. I'm sure they get countless emails about it every time that it happens, but they just. won't. fix. it. Keep in mind - this building has had two fi... read more

Business response:

Hi Brantley! Thank you for reaching out about your concerns with the fire alarm system. While the alarms in Building A have gone off more than we would like in the last few months we can assure you it is not because the system is broken. For example, on the 3rd when you reached out, a construction worker in one of our retail suites damaged a pull station with a large piece of equipment which caused the alarm to sound as the system is intended to do. We certainly agree that this is a major inconvenience when this happens but ... read more

ATTN: slumlords DONT MOVE HERE post! I lived at the district for 5 years. I moved there in 2015 when the apartment complex was owned by Monogram. Loved the place and they were extremely accommodating at the beginning. Read further to learn about the slumlords that they really are. I’m not sure when but the complex was sold to Venterra Realty during my time there. But all I remember was how unorganized and unwelcome I felt living in my own space once the new company took over. The staff was terrible and unkind, and never took... read more

Business response:

Samantha Szymanski, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and we regret to find out that this was not the case for you. We hope that you were able to leave with some good memories from the last 3.5 years that you made The District your home since Venterra acquired the community. We will certainly take your feedback and strive to make improvements to our outdoor amenities - we regret that we are just hearing about your dissatisfaction with these areas and were not able to make this right for you while you lived with us. We know th... read more

I absolutely love the District! The staff are prompt and amazing. The community is well-kept and when you need something from maintenance you don't have to wait long. I have renewed my lease twice and happy that I made the choice!

Worst place I have ever lived. Management is a joke. Every issue I have had has been discussed with the office. Takes months to get any issues taken care of. DM me if you would like more info. I have recordings of dogs barking or howling at all hours. E-mails out the wazoo of issues they did not take care of.
