My father has been a member of Dawes arboreum for 45 years. We recently had a celebration of life for his wife my stepmother and had a wonderful time at one of the pavilions. We found that the staff was friendly and helpful. The land scape and gardens are beautiful! I recommend this facility for any event or just for a drive-through date.
Stunningly beautiful place to go visit!
I used to visit multiple times a year but now charging $10 a person for my small family of three, it’s not worth it when there are still plenty of other free parks available. Sorry Dawes, I loved ya but won’t be returning.
I used to love Dawes. I paid the fee to tour the Daweswood House a few times. I learned a lot about the founders and their history. But, I cannot afford to pay $25 every time my wife and I take my son to visit. And before someone jumps in with, “Hop on over to the library...”, I don’t live in Licking County, so that’s not going to work for me. Good thing Bertie and Beeman are encased in tombs, lest they start spinning and creating sinkholes on the property.
We visited the arboretum for the first time last Friday. My husband and I weren't sure what to expect. We both took more from it than we thought. We took the time to take it all in, and are excited to come back to see more. I can go on record to say that we both felt at peace. The prices are reasonable and we will gladly pay again. The entire time we were visiting there were ground crews constantly cleaning and assessing areas.
They could put a price chart on tbe building up front when you pull up. The prices are overrated $10 per adult and $5 per child! They could have the grounds more well kept, grass mowed, logs picked up! Very disappointed!
A beautiful place to walk and look at a lot of different trees and just think. Also great for pictures
Costs money to visit the park
Greedy and money hungry! Refuse to pay what they are charging! Would pay $3 to $5 a car load but will NOT pay $20 something for my little family to go somewhere that is supposed to be free. I’ll walk around my parents woods and see wild life or go to Flint Ridge!
