About this business
History of our building dates back to 1928. It started out as a feed and storage depot in the 20's. Supplies came by boat and rail. After that business, the building has been used as a Scotty's, Motorcycle repair shop, & Flea Market. The building was then abandoned for quite a few years. Then in 1998, it was rebuilt inside out and became a restaurant called Sunset Steakhouse. The top layer of roof was blown off in 2001 and the building and restaurant was sold. June 4, 2001 The Crazy Gator was opened by Beth and Steve Robin.

After great reviews from Eustis family members, went after a recent graduation. Only ordered appetizers and it took over 40 minutes (during happy hour when they should have been spot on) then our order was"mixed up" and I am fairly certain we were served left over wings in place of our order to use up stuff already cooked (they were barely warm) while our hostess seated and served friends quickly while giggling like she pulled a fast one. Okay so I haven't ever been to Crazy Gator.. But I play pool all over Florida and tonight I was at Fat Cats in Mount Dora and met one of your bartenders Jennifer and a server Ashley.. They were both so nice to me and so pretty.. I live an hour and a half away at least in Homosassa, but meeting these two beautiful girls makes me want to come back.. I should have at least got one of their numbers especially Jennifer your bartender she is so beautiful ;) Link me to their FB lol See you next Saturday hopefully

Food is awesome, service could be a little more attentive. Staff is super friendly, though. It's definitely not 1 star. I dunno why anyone would think it's 1. 1 is reserved for really REALLY bad service. Don't be THAT 1 star person
Very slow next time I have 2hour to drink a beer I might go back
We come every Tuesday for the 60cent wing special service outside is great, food is always fresh well cooked and tastes great.
I came to eat lunch with my son at thecrazygator and it was amazing. We had salad fried shrimp and loaded fries! Everything was perfect! I'll definitely be returning!
Awrsome place. Here for Mother's Day with 20 people service was the bomb and food was awesome!!!!
Jennifer and Melissa are the best bartenders around!
