About this business
History of our building dates back to 1928. It started out as a feed and storage depot in the 20's. Supplies came by boat and rail. After that business, the building has been used as a Scotty's, Motorcycle repair shop, & Flea Market. The building was then abandoned for quite a few years. Then in 1998, it was rebuilt inside out and became a restaurant called Sunset Steakhouse. The top layer of roof was blown off in 2001 and the building and restaurant was sold. June 4, 2001 The Crazy Gator was opened by Beth and Steve Robin.

One of my favorite places in Lake County. Love the beer, love the food.
I have to give a thumbs down. The fish was very grease.
Great food, great view,great service. This was my first time but will make this a regular stop.

Ok so I'm on a lunch break, I got an hour right. I stopped at The Crazy Gator downtown Eustis. Great timing, only 3 tables have people so quick service right. So at 20 minutes the girl takes my drink order, at 30 minutes some guy brings my drink...it's wrong. At 40 minutes the girl comes to take my lunch order. At 1 hour I get my single burger. Folks, the burger was delicious but seriously, an hour for a burger? I could drive home and cook my own in half the time. Sorry Crazy Gator, no stars for you. I won't be back for lunc... read more
Love this place but it seems it's not consistently good or bad. Love the outside seating but outside bar closed at 10 on a Saturday? Bartender was sweet but she had to run around like a nut, (Not her fault) so long wait time. Never came back for pen or credit card receipt so my husband had to go find her, she was eating and not concerned. Toilets need scrubbed, looked disgusting. Love the atmosphere but the time between our visits is becoming longer and longer.
Have always gone to Crazy Gator for the chicken wings. Wings Friday evening were not fried correctly and were a light bland color. Not at all like they have been for years. Were told there is a new chef. Not good. Our favorite waiter is no longer there...Bryan. They let the best thing about Crazy Gators slip through their fingers!
This is honestly the best gator I have ever had!! We have enough food for 3 people...
My husband and I went last night for dinner. We sat outside. Our sever ( Kelly ) was great. Our order was correct and delicious.
