I LOVE living at The Commons at Knoxville! I have been so impressed with my entire living experience here. The apartments themselves are awesome and have everything you could possibly want. I have a 1-bed, 1-bath unit and it's the best apartment I've ever had. I'm in law school so the privacy is very much appreciated. My apartment also has an awesome full kitchen, living area, bedroom (including a tempur-pedic mattress!), and bathroom with my own washer/dryer. My son lived at the commons this past year. We thought the place was great. The move in procedure was well-organized. The staff was helpful and always available to answer questions. We appreciate the little things they did like remember birthdays, host special events and provide assistance when needed. A great place for UT students to live!
Internet is garbage, and when you move out they just try to charge you for problems that aren't there. The new head of maintenance is a crook, tells the head office everything is broken so they can charge you for everything.
It's pretty simple. If you live in the apartments near the office, the ones they show off in commercials and pictures, then you'll have a great time. If you live in the apartments on 19th street, you'll want to spend your time anywhere but at home. Bugs, broken appliances, mold growing in the windows, rusty showers, you name it. Not to mention the two times I went to pick up a package from the office that had been delivered for me, only to find that it had been opened already. Cool.
