Boston Children's Hospital was a blessing for myself and my family! I was born with a Hemangioma (birthmark) on the left side of my face and in the orbit of my eye. My parents were on the phone for weeks trying to find a Doctor, they finally did Dr. John B. Mulliken. I wanted to bring my son there from Michigan for a second opinion. I had no idea on where to began. The lady on the phone was extremely rude to me. My son is struggling with crohn's and this hospital was recommended by my doctor from Mott Children's Hospital. I'm so disappointed.
I just happen to come across this page and I had to comment. I was a patient at this hospital back in the 70's. They were ahead of the game even back then. I was having seizures and the hospitals near me couldn't figure out why. Boston was able to locate and remove an aggressive brain tumor that would have taken my life. I was only a child, but I still remember how awesome the staff and doctors were back then. I just wanted to say thank you very much for doing everything that you did to give me the life I have today.

The nurses and doctors in this hospital are some of the best in the world at what they do. They are caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and able. One of the nurses in the interventional radiology department, Maria, has visited me to follow up every time I've been at the hospital following a procedure I had done with them. To her it may not be much, to me it's someone going beyond the call of duty and making sure that I feel supported. It feels good to have some of the best in the world in my own backyard.
