Boston Children's Hospital is under investigation for excessive child abuse reporting. Look at the stories of Elizabeth Wray or Justina Pelletier. If you have a child with a complex disease like Mitochondrial Disorder, fibromyalgia, myalgic encephalomyelitis, CFS, anorexia, etc. STAY AWAY from BCH. If you try to check your child out of their hospital, they'll just report you to DFS, which will then "defer to their medical expertise", and the bottom line is that the child won't be yours anymore, and they MIGHT let you visit y... read more
When my 18 month old son became extremely ill, he was transferred quickly from our local hospital to Boston Children's. He received amazing care and wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Dr. Craig Lillihei, who performed his life saving surgery. The GI team was very helpful when my son was also diagnosed with Celiac disease while there. My son just turned two and we were able to truly celebrate our healthy boy's big day thanks to Boston Children's Hospital!
Be very scared if you take your child here...you mat not get them back. They should be ashamed at what they are doing to Justina. They are not CPS they are a fricken hospital playing God.
Spent many. many years going to BCH; from 3mos old to over 18. Had over 16 surgeries there on my legs, from 1947=1959! Couldn't say enough about the great nurses and I had over the years. My parents were told that I would never walk, fooled them all and even married and had 4 children. Am now 73, with 11 grandchildren and going strong!!!!
I would do everything in my power to avoid this hospital! You have to respect the parents! I'm horrified by the Pelletier case and even more so that this isn't the first time something like this has happened here!
BCH saved our newborn son's life when our own hospital said it could not be done. He is now 9 years old and we are grateful every single day for the amazing gift they bestowed upon us. 9 years later I can still picture and name these amazing people. From the security officer who escorted us through the maze of corridors the night we arrived by ambulance, to his PICU nurse Laura, to Sister Mary who baptized him, and to the amazing Dr. Russell Jennings and the amazing team of surgeons he assembled. Excellent care! Dr Rodriguez-Galindo has been amazing. He is compassionate, very informative and has always gone above and beyond. I would recommend oncology/orthopedic program to anyone.
