About this business

The Bookstore Speakeasy is your portal to the 1920s. Behind a nondescript black door bearing only the words "The Bookstore," is a lively bar that hosts a jazz band several nights a week. The decor is in keeping with the theme, featuring vintage accents. Creatively mixed drinks are named with just as much imagination (try the Shirley Temple of Doom).

Top props to our server Joe who was adorably adept and knew every cocktail as if it were a member of his family. Food was good. Vibe was low and slow (in a GOOD way), and we’d definitely go bac... read more

Love this restaurant. The food is always amazing , crazy cocktail combinations- not to mention classes to create your own cocktail with the featured liquor for that class - and it feels like a real speakeasy. The entrance from outside is your first “speakeasy clue” to what Prohibition may have been like .

horrible!!! will never go back first off they should give a heads up about a cover charge when calling to reserve a table... food was served wrong... the place had fruit flies... the waiter was to busy talking to the other employees rather than helping the customers
