The Bookstore Speakeasy is your portal to the 1920s. Behind a nondescript black door bearing only the words "The Bookstore," is a lively bar that hosts a jazz band several nights a week. The decor is in keeping with the theme, featuring vintage accents. Creatively mixed drinks are named with just as much imagination (try the Shirley Temple of Doom).

My husband and I experienced the Bookstore Speakeasy for the first time this past Friday night! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back! Joe was our waiter, as well as the restaurant manager...He was fantastic !! Joe figures out the perfect drink for each customer by truly getting to know them! He never seemed rushed and made us feel like the only patrons in the whole place (even though it was packed!) He took his time with us and genuinely seemed happy to be working there! The cocktails were all made with the fre... read more
We had a fabulous time last night!! Outstanding in every way. The server’s enthusiasm and expertise was beyond reproach. The drinks were outstanding. The band was the exact perfect it. Love it!
This place is amazing. The drinks and the food are great. You get your money’s worth at the place. The love music is great. I went there with some friends and had Joe as a waiter. He was the best waiter I have ever had at any restaurant. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and found each member of our group their perfect drink.
Such a great little nook to duck into - they sat us and served us right away. Amazing ambience and drinks! Try the upper Manhattan 🥰😍😘
From the moment you walk in you are transported to the 1920s. As soon as Mariyah greeted us we knew this would be an experience to remember. She took such good care of us while we waited for a table. Then once seated Joe came and knocked our socks off with his amazing personality and conversation. He was born to talk about these drinks and food! I cannot wait to go back!
It was my first time here for my birthday this evening and the atmosphere was awesome and the food and drinks were delicious. Joseph, the manager was outstanding! He did a great job explaining the drinks and was super friendly and personable. We will be back!
The first time my boyfriend and I went here we loved it! The atmosphere is awesome, the cocktails are great but our server, Joe was amazing! He made the experience so wonderful! We had to come back just for him!
My siblings took me here last night for my 40th birthday. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They worked with my sister to allow her to arrange a scavenger hunt, surprise asking me to be her matron of honor. The atmosphere was so much better than I could have ever imagined. We all dressed in the era and during our time there we easily forgot what era we were really in. The food was great and sooo many drink choices. The band was great. Would highly recommend! Thank you for an amazing night!
Great food & wonderful staff!
