The Bookstore Speakeasy is your portal to the 1920s. Behind a nondescript black door bearing only the words "The Bookstore," is a lively bar that hosts a jazz band several nights a week. The decor is in keeping with the theme, featuring vintage accents. Creatively mixed drinks are named with just as much imagination (try the Shirley Temple of Doom).

The Bookstore Speakeasy is every book lover's dream! The first time I was there, I was blown away by the decor, the ambiance, the service, and of course, the food/cocktails. The second time was for my 21st birthday and it was the best choice of a place to celebrate. I highly recommend it to all of my friends, both local and out-of-town. 5 stars from me!
Lovely hidden gem. Staff was friendly and attentive, plus it doesn't hurt when the bartender (Gabe) knows just the cocktail to help ease the mood.
We came here (first time) for a romantic, adventurous second anniversary dinner. It did not disappoint. From the perfectly formulated drinks, meat/cheese board and our meals. The service was impeccable. An attentive and polite young man. Thank you so much for the start of a beautiful evening!
Came for a bite to eat and drinks around 11pm on a Saturday night and I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed this place!! Every staff person was extremely nice and welcoming and the band was not too loud and set the calm vibe that I appreciated. Our waitress was very prompt and knowledgeable about the 60+ drinks on the menu and was awesome at suggesting something I'd like. The food came out very quickly and was delicious.... especially that cremé brûlée. Will definitely be back again, hidden gem of the valley!
Great atmosphere, top notch cocktails, and impeccable service. Definitely need to make reservations, but this is definitely a place I will visit again very soon!!! Jacob and Gabriel know their stuff!!!
Need to edit my son's feedback. Turns out management/owners were away for a few days. One of them (Linda) did call back and convinced me she really cared about what happened and was willing to make it right. That's really all you can do. Mistakes happen. How folks react to them is the real important piece. So my sons going back with his GF to have a few drinks on the house. They offered more but frankly all I needed to hear and for them to do was buy some drinks. I'm an hour away so may never make it back...but I give them a... read more
Business response:
Thank you, Dennis, for your warm words. We are very sincerely looking forward to seeing you and your family again soon so that we can show you the service we are ordinarily well known for. When Matt comes in we'll show him how we celebrate birthdays at The Bookstore! Unfortunately, Dennis, you're right, mistakes do happen. However, in this case, we believe we are well on the way to rectifying the error caused by the previous reservation request system, by switching to another system entirely. Enjoy the holidays!
