The Bookstore Speakeasy is your portal to the 1920s. Behind a nondescript black door bearing only the words "The Bookstore," is a lively bar that hosts a jazz band several nights a week. The decor is in keeping with the theme, featuring vintage accents. Creatively mixed drinks are named with just as much imagination (try the Shirley Temple of Doom).

Every time I'm here the experience is great!! Food, service, and atmosphere are all awesome!'

He went to get something to clean it up with but we had to send him to get more clean dry towels so I could at least sit on one that wasn't wet. It should be noted that the establishment is very loud. It is difficult to hear your fellow dining companion without talking a bit louder than ...Continue Reading
Food and drinks are always amazing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is lovely! Always an amazing time, and a memorable experience. Always recommend when in town.
First time here, I enjoyed it. Food was great. The atmosphere was good
This place is lit by candles and oil lamps. It is so incredibly hot we couldn't enjoy our dinner and had to leave. Air conditioners were useless. It is a shame - the ambience was nice, music could be fun, but it was so HOT we ate and left fast. It wasn't even a hot night! most likely not ever going back.
Great place, felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie. Great food ,drinks, atmosphere and service.
Love the atmosphere. Have been there a few times and have always enjoyed the food! The band was setting up right around our table and we were feeling rushed to hurry up and leave. I'm assuming because the location of our table needed to be rearranged to accommodate the band? Again I loved what I ordered but my husband was not impressed with his dish this time.
