Top 5 mac and cheese, fried chicken, and beignets in the country! Wish the menu would change a little more often, but that's my only "complaint"

My son and his family took me out to lunch. The food was fabulous and flavorful. (very rich) The portions were ample for the price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was clean and bright. I loved it.

Love this place. Best corn bread I think I've ever had. Mac-n-Cheese is also great. Wait staff is always friendly and don't rush you along. Very enjoyable.

My niece took me there for my birthday and I loved it, the food was delicious the atmosphere was quaint and cozy, love the rustic look. I definitely will be going back.

So we had a famous experience at the Bayou. We had run off for a quick "date" around 2 and it was our first time there. We thoroughly enjoyed the jalapeno hush puppies and the pork belly-- definite favorites. They had a harvest salad special: candied pecans, goat cheese, arugula, cherries, pears...and I added grilled chicken...it was perfection! Prices are in line with a nice sit-down type restaurant down south (although the little dive shacks down there usually have much better food for 30% less). Good atmosphere, small inside seating area, very cozy. Music was a little on the loud side, but not obnoxious.
