Great atmosphere! Good music! Great cocktails! Food ok! Last time I was there about 6 months ago the food was much better. Took grits off my bill because they were terrible. Green fried tomatoes were good. Fried oysters were too filled with breading. Would go back again and give it another try.

I’ve always loved the Bayou since they first came to our neighborhood. I’ve enjoyed the majority of the menu changes. I’ve had date nights, and birthdays, and other family meals there.Today I took my daughter there for lunch. It was her first week back at college, and I know I’ll see her much less while she is focused on her education this semester. This is one of her absolute all-time favorite restaurants. We absolutely love the food especially the Sunday brunch. And especially when there is jazz playing. The menu is to die for. Especially the grit cakes with an egg on the top. And the bottom less Mamosa’s are in credible as well. We love the friendly smiles of the servers and the bartenders. And of course when jazz is playing it is magic. Love it
