I’ve never been able to get an appointment since I joined in October for any urgent issues, unless they are booked weeks in advance, and every single time I’m referred to the walk-in centre. If you call up, you’re told to do the form online, if you do the form online, you’re told they’re at capacity for the day (even if it’s completed at 8am) and have to go to the walk-in centre. I've been going too this practice for many years and have always found them very good. People often complain about the receptionists but i find that if treat people politely and with respect they will treat you likewise. Update.. this place has really gone down hill lately
I had an appointment yesterday with the pharmacist at the practice. It was a medication review. It was perhaps the most efficient and effective medical interview I have ever had. The clinician was very knowledgeable. Very kind and very patient with me. I'm in my 70's. Thank you Acorn group Practice.
I cannot believe the lack of access to this practice. I have tried to get some engagement on an ongoing and v painful hip issue. Now 4 weeks later following an inability to get further advice but to go to online triage. Guess what. This is temporarily out of action due to capacity problems. I then called to speak to a person to get some action to be told to call back on Monday. This is one of many frustrations with this practice.
Absolutely horrible practice. Receptionists are rude and worryingly incompetent. They don’t even try to address issues but they ask you to file a complaint. They also threaten you and raise voices, while getting involved in matters that don’t even concern them, specifically the Eastern European one, who seems to have no professional ethics.
