RecommendedThey are great! I got my eye surgery done there. Today I had my eye exam done. They very competent.
I get great care from my doctor. However, when I visited today, several staff were working without masks, including in the reception area, glasses store, and an office area in the midst of exam rooms. When I asked about their mask policies I heard self-serving excuses. This in a healthcare facilit and one that literally needs to get within inches of your face to procide care/exams, and serves what appeared to be predominantly a high risk patient group (elderly). I wish I had left.
I visited the Balcones location on 9/3. I was hurried through my appointment and I left without a prescription for what I wanted. I called on 9/8 for a prescription and I was told that one would not be written for either the contact I wanted nor another brand of contact I wanted to try out. The only option at that time was to take a prescription for the very expensive contact they "suggested" for me. I email them to let them know my frustrations. An office manager called me back. Ciera helped me today with all my eye testing before I saw the MD. She was wonderful! She welcomed me warmly, explained all the procedures, and cleaned the equipment before I had to use it. I really do appreciate that last part! The staff here is always welcoming and kind. I’ve been seeing them for about 9 years!
My cataract surgery went really well. I got a PanOptic multi-focal lens that was expensive but worth it. 3 weeks after surgery my vision in the operated eye is better than 20/20!
Staff were friendly, i was seen right away. Dr.Sanchez was very professional and caring.
