My daughter and I were pleased to be able to walk in with no reservation and only wait 20 minutes! The wait staff were very warm, friendly and attentive. The recommendation on wine and food were perfect. We definitely recommend it and plan to go back next visit to NYC.

Lovely ambiance. Full of natural light. Host/hostess were helpful and informed of the history of the place. I was a bit under dressed, but the doorman still opened the door as though I were the Queen of England. Pricey, but the food is excellent. The bar was not as impressive. The bartenders were busy and not very friendly. Drink was mediocre. ( I had a bloody Mary that was more blood than mary.) I would go back on another day to see if it was a fluke.
The Tavern on the Green was everything we imagined it to be! Brunch was delicious and our server was so nice. What a beautiful establishment.
It is a very pretty place. The service was very good and everything was delivered very fast. I had the Tavern Burger, it was very good and prepared just how I asked. My husband however was not that happy. He ordered the Caesar salad with salmon. The salad was very, very small as was the serving of salmon. Definitely not enough for a man. There was no dressing with just a bit of Parmesan so basically he got a bowl of lettuce for $26.00. I had to give him a third of my burger because I felt so bad. Someone posted on yelp that restaurant week portions were "scarce". Couldn't be farther from the truth. Perfect size portions of yummy deliciousness. Scrumptious. Loved it
