Really enjoyed our time at The Tavern on the Green. Wonderful way to spend the day with our friends. Drinks were perfect. We had the best bar tender.
So great! Food was awesome....and we sat outside with a beautiful breeze...great choice!

The food was good but the service was terrible. We were constantly out of water, they didn't bring one out one of our sides, after we mentioned they brought it out but it was wrong, so by the time thy brought out the correct one we were all done with our meals. Then, they charged us for two drinks but one of the drinks we never received, after the waiter said He would correct it, we got a completely different bill that was even more than the first one, obviously it was someone else's. It was a beautiful warm evening to have dinner on the patio. The organic chicken was delicious. My Manhattan was perfect and the carrot cake was very good. It all added up to a great night with good company.
Had been here years ago before it closed and reopened, the bar area could be doing with being a bit bigger, too many people taking up seats but mainly drinking water! Staff should be telling people you can't "nurse" an alcoholic drink for an hour but sit with glasses of water just so you get a good seat, during the week we saw a family of 6 sitting with 1 alcoholic drink and 5 glasses of water! Prices seem to have improved from previous owners.
Had a birthday lunch yesterday which I booked over the phone. The person asked if I was celebrating anything, I told him my friend was having a birthday. I gave them his name and they assured me that they would write his name on a plate to accompany his dessert. Well, the lunch was okay, the service was okay but rather inattentive and the birthday dessert plate never came with our desserts. It was ok but they have a stupid policy about not been able to sit at empty tables until the dinner change over and make people sit at the bar when tables are empty , so I won't visit again
