We arrived wanting drinks and something to eat. We were then subsequently moved to three different tables on the outside terrace as we were told inconsistent information about where we were allowed to sit. Some tables are reserved for those eating dinner but the waiters don't seem to know which ones. We finally found a place by the bar and ordered our drinks and food with a waiter, only to be waived over to the bar to collect our food and drinks. This restaurant doesn't offer smooth service at all.
Such a great place. Super amazing location. Unbelievable atmosphere! Can not go to Central Park and not stop in to the tavern!
I was excited to pop in here for a drink and a snack after a long day of exploring in the city. I know the reputation of this place is suppose to be stellar. I sat at the bar since I was by myself. I waited quite awhile before the bartender even came over and acknowledged me. It was not busy at all. I got a drink and ordered the steak tartare appetizer which is one of my favorite dishes.
