Great outdoors .. good bar food ...have not yet had dinner here.

Bar staff charged two tabs to my credit card!!!! Luckily I checked my online bank today and I trying to get my money back. BEWARE
The setting is beautiful. The service was excellent. My entree delicious (braised short ribs) same with all the entrees ( scallops, French chicken, Caesar salad) the appetizer of arugula, goat cheese and figs was way over priced and not great. That can be avoided! I give this place �����

My friend and I end our annual NYC trip with Sunday brunch at Tavern on the Green; we love the service, the ambiance and especially the food!
The outdoor section is worthy for drinks. About 80 percent shade coverage on a hot sunny Saturday. Try the Austrian Sauvignon Blanc if you enjoy a Green Apple taste. It is a staple on their wines by the glass menu and although I normally choose the New Zealand Blancs this was a nice change of pace.
A great place in Central Park to have dinner under the stars. We had the short ribs and the New York sirloin followed with a creme Burlee all were perfection
