I can highly recommend going here for refreshments and snacks, not so much for dinner. The main dining room is light and open but lacks proper acoustics so the sound level is quite lively! We were seated in the back dining room, much more pleasant for conversation and decompressing from adventurous exploration of Central Park. The scallops were the best we ever had! My girlfriends and I were visiting from New Orleans and decided to have dinner at The Tavern for our last night on the town. I can't think of any better way to spend an evening! The hostess was very hospitable, the waiters made sure that we were happy with our order. The food was excellent, as well as the ambiance. We all agreed that we will return!
