Best Food and Service ---- Anywhere!!! – You can't beat tht Taste of Texas for hospitality and a great meal---STEAK, CHICKEN OR SHRIMP!!! The staff and managers are the friendliest you can find and make on's dining experience SUPREME!!!!
underperforming – I had heard many good things about the Taste of Texas before going so I had high hopes. They did not deliver. The "no reservation" policy is an excellent way to get people to dump money into your bar before they dump even more at the table. Although the wait staff was very polite, they weren't very knowledgeable or helpful. The hostess and management seemed very all aloof and didn't seem to care whether we were there or not. Use To Be – Taste of Texas use to be onr of the best. They have fallen in the past year or two. Out of 7 trips to dine there 30% was less then satisfaction. Either the steak was not up to par or the service was lacking. This was my families favorite place at one time.
Great Food for Best Value – This place is awesome! The staff is friendly, the food is amazing, and you can't beat the value. They even have a huge waiting area with complimentary drinks and snacks if you have to wait. The steaks are perfect! It's my favorite steakhouse in all of America!
Best Steaks – The steaks are tender, cooked to perfection & absolutely delightful to sink ones teeth into! The salad bar is a meal in itself. I was thoroughly impressed!
Aptly Named – I was first introduced to Taste Of Texas when my son's 4th grade class visited there on a school field trip. Dining there is a thouroughly enjoyable event, from the well scrubbed, excrutiatingly polite staff to the endless supply of fresh baked breads to being able to specify how many ounces and which cut of steak your heart desires . Wonderful – 4 of us had dinner Saturday night and what an experience. There was an hour wait but I was curious because I had heard such great things. Not only was the service amazing, the steaks were fabulous and you can even select the piece you want. The salad bar was great and there were tons of people celebrating their birthdays around us. It was a fun environment and the food and service were terrific. I highly recommend this place.
cant dine over din. – While the food was good, it was almost impossible to hold a conversation in the main dining area. My steak was rare, as I ordered it. Most restaurants can't seem to ubderstand what rare is. So credit for that. Service was decent, however maybe a bit rushed. Salad bars are passe.
