what a catch – The food was excelent i would recommeng going there to any one
Completely Over-rated! – Taste of Texas is completely over-rated in my opinion on steaks. The "sizzling hot" plate continues cooking the meat and typically I have ended up with an over-done steak. Very minimal seasoning of the meat makes this over-done meant even less appealing.
What dreams are made of... – A native Houstonian, I have eaten at countless different restaraunts in the area. Taste of Texas is by far the best! From the delictable salad bar, complete with huge blocks of cheese and rasberry vinagarette, to the fresh warm bread and cinnamon butter, Taste has got it all. The steaks are to die for, but even if you arent a fan of red meat, there is something for you on the menu. A visit to Taste of Texas is a must for any occasion, from casual to elegant. I highly recommend it!
Fifth Place – No way Taste of Texas comes in first. It not close to being as good as Pappas Steak House which is number 1 followed closely by Mortons and then Capitol Grill. In addition to lagging these in food quality the decor isn't even close. The inside of Taste of Texas is not muh different than a big Bonanza!
The One and Only! – Our friends and family love Taste of TX. Everything there is Grade A. From the moment you walk in the door. You are greeted by smiling friendly hostesses. The steaks are the best I have ever had. The salad bar is always fresh and their breads are unbelievable. Be sure to leave room, if you can, for desert. They are AMAZING!
Loving Beef – This is a great family place. It is packed and even with reservations you have to wait. They have a great bar and seating area for waiting.
Over-rated – Originally this was a great steak house, but in the last couple of years it has gone down hill, both in service and quality.
The Best Steak You'll Ever Eat! – The ambiance was terrific, the service was wonderful and the food was magnificent. From the fresh salads to the warm baked breads to the tender melt in your mouth tantilizing steak....this is a dining experience you will never forget and will come back soon to delight in the delicious wonders of The Taste of Texas.
THE Real Taste of Texas – Excellent steak restaurent. Must be among the top 10 in the USA. Mandatory dinner when visiting Houston. Congratulations!!!
