Editorial fromAlong Third Street's crowded restaurant row, this homey storefront eatery features a long wine bar on one side of the candlelit, sage-green room, with polished wood tables and banquettes on the other. The distinctly European vibe is…

Overpriced!!! – My friend and I wanted to get a glass of wine so we decided to try Tasca the other night. In total, we had an app for $12, four glasses of wine for $7 each and one glass of wine for $9. Our bill was $77. I'm not the best at math but when I calculate this it comes out to $49. The waiter said it was because there were "tasting" charges and "glass" charges. Before we ordered two of the wines, he gave us a miniscule taste (which most good places do) and I'm praying that these "tastes" didn't total $28. He tried e... read more
Nice vibe, but overpriced & not that good... – Walked in for dinner around 7:30 on a Saturday night sans reservation, got seated right away. Nice host, charming waiter. Ambience lovely, good music, cozy lighting. Place filled up, seemed like a fun mixed crowd. But service really slow, food crawled out of the kitchen at a snails pace. The wine was good, but we had to drink a ton of it because our food wasn't arriving. In my mind the thing with Tapas is you order a bunch and the plates all just keep coming. Also food very salt... read more
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, GO TO A.O.C.!!!! – Celebrating a birthday at Tasca is just a horrible idea. Our group wasn't seated until nearly 10 PM, which was 40 minutes after our so-called reservation. The service was atrocious! We were very hungry but they refused to bring any bread until after we ordered (which took another 25 minutes). The server was pompous, insulting and could not answer simple questions in a straight forward manner. He was completely inattentive to our needs. Their dishes were overpriced and inconsistent. I prefer Cobra's and Matador's – This place was just ok. I have been to several tapas places in Los Angeles and I found the tapas to be excessively overpriced for the extremely small portions, similar to the restaurant "Parc." The food was maybe a 7 out of 10. Cheese plate's are my favorite and I found their cheese plate to be quite mediocre. The one thing I must say about this place is that they do have an amazing wine selection so if you are a wino this is the place to be.
Delicious food, great customer service. Sit at the bar! – I adore Tasca. The food is delicious and inventive. It is always piping hot and fresh, and on top of that, the service is always cordial. The waitstaff and bartenders are always willing to answer questions and make suggestions as to what their favorite dishes are. They will also help you out if you have a hard time deciding what you'd like to eat. I would recommend trying to score a seat at the bar if you're eating with only one other person, as I think the tables put... read more
Bustling Spanish tapas spot proffers small bites and small sips to a stylish local following. – The Scene Tiny tea candles glint alongside silver flatware, ornate mirrors, and cinnamon-hued banquettes, adding an elegant sparkle to the small, cavernous space. Enamored couples linger at two-seater tables, while relaxed regulars swirl wine at the sommelier-manned bar. Plates arrive a la carte, sometimes at a slower-than-preferred pace--a shortcoming that is allayed by the earnest, charismatic servers. The Food Partitioned simpl... read more
Great tapas, excellent service Try it!!! – I called to check on availability at 4pm on Saturday, and was told that may be I will be able to be seated at 10pm after a show I went to see with 2 other couples. Well, at 10 there were no space available inside, however, outside on the patio there was one corner free, where the owner set up 3 tables together and seated us within 5 minutes. Our waiter was great, attentive and gave us a lot of recommendations, so is the bus boy, food was excellent, we are all into tapas style now. C... read more
LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT VISIT !! – there was definitely a wait before we were sat, but i can understand it because Tasca has been named one of the "LA's 75 Best Reastaurants" by Los Angeles Magazine and it was packed. i have to say that the food was amazing. the restaurant is beautiful. i'll try to remeber next time to request to be seated in the corner booth. We ordered the arancini, so delicious. the Steak Frites, which melted in your mouth and the very yummy braised short rib with butternut squash agnonlotis, the best ... read more
Impressive.... – We had a reservation, but still had to wait about 20 minutes. However, the manager came over several times to check on us and was extremely cordial. The bartender was fantastic - wines were amazing, our group of 5 waited patiently. It makes a huge difference when someone is at least checking on you. After being seated, the waiter took his time and was extremely informative. Having recently moved here from NYC, this is the best service at a "trendy" spot so far. Yes, it is loud due to room design and the natu... read more
