Presenters of 6 week CBT course were nice but unable to meet my needs post course. My GP Practice had told me to persevere with the course and I would get the face to face counselling afterwards. Not a chance. Been offered more CBT. I have done many of these courses over the years. Told them I had been advised to be firm with them about needing Counselling. Talk Liverpool should be ashamed of themselves they phoned social services on me coz I smoke cannabis which I have for 25 years , I only needed to talk to someone about mental health and this is what they did to me be carefull how u speak to these people , I received a call from social services and they told me they didn’t know why they put the referral in in the first place , no further action taking , messed with my mental health even more while I was waiting for that phone call from social services shame on yous people on... read more
This place should be called CBT Liverpool… not Talk Liverpool. Back in 2021 I had 10 sessions of talk therapy with Talk Liverpool and it was amazing. I felt so much better getting things off my chest that had been bothering me for most of my life. Then during 2022 I felt my depression return. After reading some of the other reviews, while I can't say I'm surprised, I thought I'd share my own experience. I've been referred to Talk Liverpool a number of times over the years and never felt like I was getting anywhere until last year. I've also had many counselling sessions outside of Talk Liverpool, for context. CBT!? Is that the tumult? I was not impressed with the course around 15 or so in the class! It was akin to a George Orwell Novel!! They said I would benefit from Art therapy, that was 3 years ago and I'm still awaiting a referral!! An absolute joke! Cheap & nasty!!
